Artist Statement:  Adele Todd is the only Artist in Trinidad and Tobago exclusively creating a constant visual narrative with thread. She also works in Performance looking at innovating traditional Carnival Jouvert old masquerade characters.

Bio:Trinidad and Tobago based Artist Adele Todd works in Embroidery and Performance. Using soft materials to discuss hard topics is at the heart of her practice, themes relating but not exclusive to her islands, such as domestic violence, crime and misandry. She has shown her work locally, regionally and internationally including CCA:Glasgow, Florence Biennale, and Beijing Biennale. She has also been a recipient of the Catapult Grant Jamaica and CPR Curatorial Program for Research in New York in 2019.
